The A&P Test Preparation is for applicants who meet FAR 65.71-65.77 only.
To be eligible for an FAA A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license, you need to meet specific experience and education requirements. Generally, this involves either 18 months of practical experience working on either airframes or powerplants, or 30 months of experience working on both. Additionally, you need to pass FAA-administered exams.
Specific Requirements:
Experience: You need to have at least 18 months of practical experience in either airframes or powerplants, or 30 months working on both concurrently.
Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
English Proficiency: You must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Exams: You need to pass a series of FAA exams, which are divided into General, Airframe, and Powerplant sections.
Alternative to Experience: You can also become eligible by graduating from an FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) or completing the Joint Service Aviation Maintenance Technician Certification Council (JSAMTCC) training course for military personnel.
